The Paula Takacs Foundation, recognized as one of the leading sarcoma foundations in the country, is expanding its reach beyond traditional fundraising platforms to ensure our impact continues to grow. With a vision for creating a unique, scalable model and a deep respect for how art unites people and ideas, we launched the Growing Hope Through Art (GHTA) fundraising program. This initiative harnesses the transformative power of art to advance our core mission of funding sarcoma research grants, while also supporting patients and families affected by this rare cancer and raising awareness. Partnering with private industry, artists, and fellow nonprofits, we are making a meaningful difference for those affected by sarcoma cancers. Discover more about our inaugural installation, Seasons of Life by artist Jake Pfeifer of Hot Glass Alley, and our ongoing efforts to inspire hope through art.
UNVEILING OF INAUGURAL ART PIECE: SEASONS OF LIFE
Donors of the ‘Seasons of Life’ installation fund the Paula Takacs Foundation for Sarcoma Research’s mission, all while honoring a loved one or healthcare hero by tying their gift to a flower or bark piece within the permanent art installation.
Funds raised by the Growing Hope Through Art program support:
Investing in Innovation Annual competitive grants fuel leading North Carolina scientists in pursuit of sarcoma breakthroughs.
Building Lasting Impact Initiatives like our $2 million Endowed Chair for Sarcoma Research at Levine Cancer Institute ensure permanent leadership and discovery.
The Growing Hope Through Art program gives families, healthcare professionals, and artists a platform to express themselves through the art. Read inspiring stories and testimonials, and see the difference we are making together.
