This is about creating an extraordinary new way to amplify our local impact. It arose from a desire to create a synergistic partnership between private industry, our non-profit foundation, and exceptional local artists who come together in support of commissioning permanent art installations throughout the Charlotte region. Through this program, an additional arm of fund raising for the Paula Takacs Foundation, we can knit together our community at large in understanding, awareness, and purpose about cancer and specifically sarcoma while continuing to fund sarcoma research with Levine Cancer Institute and Levine Children’s Hospital.

Your donation to this stunning art piece to be installed in the hallway of Levine Cancer Institute gives you evergreen exposure as a supporter of the Paula Takacs Foundation for Sarcoma Research. Plus, we connect your gift to an actual piece that YOU made possible!
We funded the very first investigator-initiated sarcoma clinical trial at LCI which achieved global recognition. Since Levine Cancer Institute opened their doors in 2012, the Paula Takacs Foundation has become their largest non-profit research donor, gifting an average of $250,000 each year. By donating to each installation your dollars work hard to find cures.
A key portion of the Growing Hope Through Art program revolves around creating human connections. When new groups are given a platform to express themselves through art, we elevate empathy and improve our relationships across the community at large.
Our beneficiaries are a part of Atrium Health, a trusted destination for patients and partners from around the world with renowned care and ground breaking trials for sarcoma patients. The exhibit complements Atrium’s already impressive commitment to art as a way to augment care and elevate the healing environment.
